THE BICYCLES

Every one of my bicycles is made to order, "made to measure", and made to last. Each is a one of a kind machine, designed and built for you alone and with only the best materials available. They all have a lifetime warranty and I guarantee that your custom bicycle will fit correctly.  I also guarantee your satisfaction.

Please check out our Pricing, Specs & Options page for information on materials, specification, options, colors, pricing & etc.. You will find details of some of my "models" and photos of a few other projects below.  Be sure to click on each photo for additional pictures.  I build custom bicycles, so please do not feel limited by what you may or may not see here. In addition, with the exception of my tandem and recumbent frames, nearly all frames are available in either lugged or fillet brazed construction.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail. Be sure to check out my flickr page for more photos of recent projects.

Anderson Team Compact (view)

This is my Anderson "Team Compact"  bike.  Of course it's steel and it's lugged, but with a twist.....It features "modern" compact geometry, ultra-light tubing, "S" bend seat & chain stays, a Easton EC90 Carbon fork, with SRAM, FSA and Ritchey components rounding out the build. The bike is fast and light, weighing in at about 16 pounds, as shown, sans pedals. The tubing is a custom blend of Columbus Spirit and True Temper S3. I build this bike with "standard"  tubes as shown and also with "oversized" tubes for larger riders. It's available as a frameset, or as a complete bicycle.  Of course, I build custom bikes, so this can be had in any paint scheme imaginable, with other options, like a steel fork or stainless lugs, for example, also available, etc.

Options shown include multi-color paint, polished drop outs, Columbine chain hanger, front stainless derailleur hanger, internal brake cable routing, & bottle and bridge diamonds. Pricing for all of my bikes is "base + options". Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

*Note: I can also build this bike with Reynolds 953 Stainless Steel, e-mail or call for details)

Anderson 953 Team Cross (View)

This is my Anderson "Team Cross" frame set. The frame is 100% stainless, with Reynolds 953 stainless tubes throughout, along with stainless lugs, drops and other fittings. It's shown with the excellent new Ritchey WCS V2 Carbon Cross fork and decked out in Gopher Wheelmen team colors. As with all of my bikes, this can be had as a frameset only or as a complete bicycle. All of my bikes are custom, so this frame set can be painted any way you would like. Other options, like a custom steel fork and S&S couplers are also available, etc.

For those who do not need, or want, stainless, I can also build this frameset with my proprietary blend of Columbus Spirit and True Temper OX Platinum tubes.

Pricing for all of my bikes is "base + options".  Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Anderson "953 Four Seasons" (View)

The Four Seasons is designed to be a great all around...all year round... bicycle.  I think that in his review on Hand Made Bikes Neil describes the bike well when he says: "It's a bombproof mileage bike; it's a lightweight sporting machine; it's a 'credit card' tourer. It packs comfort without giving way to performance; it stands out from the crowd yet has understated looks; it uses cutting edge materials but is able to withstand more than a few knocks and the ravages of winter.

This bike is shown with standard reach road caliper brakes and 700cx25 tires. Note that the brakes are positioned such that there is room for full coverage road fenders. I also build this bike for use with long reach (57mm) brakes, Cantilever brakes, Paul "Racer" style brakes, and etc. The bike can be had with pretty much any brake, tire, fender combination that you may wish.

Options shown include paint work, hand carved lugs, a Columbine chain hanger, Front derailleur hanger, and a fully polished stainless crown ( a brushed stainless crown is standard).  Pricing for all of my bikes is "base + options". Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Anderson 953 Touring (View)

This is an Anderson "953 Touring" frameset. The frame is 100% stainless, with Reynolds 953 stainless tubes throughout, along with stainless lugs, drops and other fittings.  It also featured a custom Anderson steel fork.  Note the fully polished stainless lugs and fork crown. As with all of my bikes, this can be had as a frameset only or as a complete bicycle. All of my bikes are custom, so this frame set can be painted any way you would like. Other options, like S&S couplers are also available, etc.

For those who do not need, or want, stainless, I can also build this frameset with my proprietary blend of Columbus, Reynolds and True temper non-stainless tubes.

Options shown include paint work, hand carved lugs, a full polish on the lugs and fork crown. Pricing for all of my bikes is "base + options". Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Anderson "Signature 953 Road" (View)

Karl's bike above is a great example of my "Signature" line of 953 Road bikes and framesets. I call it my signature model not only because I have been building them since Reynolds first introduced 953 in 2006, but also because it features specific design characteristics that these frames have become known for, including the seat stay attachment configuration, paint scheme, drop outs, lugs used, and etc. The frame is 100% stainless with Reynolds 953 stainless tubes throughout, along with stainless lugs, drops and other fittings. I offer this frameset with either a custom steel or carbon fork, including a choice between a 1" and 1 1/8" steerer and head tube. Karl's bike is fitted with the excellent 1 1/8" Ritchey WCS carbon fork. Click HERE to see another Signature frameset with a steel fork. There are also frameset only photos of this bike HERE

Pricing for all of my bikes is "base + options". Options shown here include paint work, a front braze on derailleur hanger, and a Columbine chain hanger. Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Anderson "Slant-6 Road" (View)

The Slant 6 gets its name from the 6 degree slant to the bike's top tube, and Guy's bike above is a great example of this great looking, great riding bicycle.  As the name implies, this bike features "compact" geometry, as well as..."S" bend chain & seat stays, double oversized Columbus Spirit tubing, stainless steel drop outs, and an Anderson custom steel fork. (This frame is also available with a carbon fork) Guy later ordered a custom polished lugged STEM to match.

As with all of my bikes, this can be had as a frameset only or as a complete bicycle. In addition, all of my bikes are custom, so this frame set can be configured and painted any way you would like. Other options, like polished stainless lugs (as shown) and S&S couplers are also available. (I can also build this bike with Reynolds 953 Stainless Steel, e-mail or call for details.)

Pricing for all of my bikes is "base + options". Options shown here include the custom "flame" paint work, a polished stainless front braze on derailleur hanger, a Columbine chain hanger, polished stainless lugs, polished stainless fork crown, polished drops, and polished STI stops. Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Anderson Custom Fillet Brazed Road (View)

Most of the bikes that I build are available built with either lugs or fillet brazing. Jon's road bike above is a good example of the latter. Note how each tube smoooothly transitions from one to the other and through the bottom bracket area. These are the hallmarks of a good fillet brazed frame. This is a light, great handling bike, with Columbus Spirit tubes throughout. Jon's bike also features a Columbus Muscle carbon fork and a Columbus Muscle carbon rear.

All of my bikes are custom, so this frame set can be configured and painted any way you would like.  Other options, like S&S couplers are also available. Pricing is "base + options". Options shown here include, a polished stainless front braze on derailleur hanger, a Columbus Muscle carbon fork, and a carbon rear end. Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Anderson Tandem (View)

I love tandems and Mark's is no exception! This bike is built with a custom blend of Columbus and True temper tubes. Its fully fillet brazed throughout and features a custom steel fork and Anderson Custom Paint. I use Auto Air Colors on most bikes, including this one.....you should see this bike in the sun!

As with all of my bikes, this can be had as a frameset only or as a complete bicycle. In addition, all of my bikes are custom, so this frame set can be configured and painted any way you would like. Other options, like S&S couplers are also available.

Please check out the Pricing & Specs page for more info.  Should you have any questions please e-mail or call.

Lugged Carbon (view)

Hand made lightweight fillet brazed steel lugs join carbon tubes from Edge composites. Tina's bike shown here includes a Columbus Carve rear triangle and a Reynolds carbon fork. Tina's bike was designed and built for 650c wheels. Of course 700c is also an option.

Please  e-mail or call for additional details and pricing.

Recumbent (View)

Sometimes I'm asked....Do you build custom recumbents?? My answer is always...why...yes I do! Recumbents are not my primary line of business, but they are fun to build and recumbent riders are an enthusiastic bunch to work with.  John is 6'4 and can not fit on just any recumbent. He also loves custom bicycles and what you see here is what resulted from our collaboration. This bike is light and fast. It features Columbus Gara steel tubing, a Columbus Carve carbon rear end, an Anderson Custom chrome plated steel fork, 700c rear and 20" front wheels, TerraCycle idlers, Whipperman stainless steel chain, Carbon FSA triple crank, top of the line SRAM X.0 drive train, Rans seat and steering gear, hand built wheels with Sun rims and Pantour suspension hubs, Chris King headset, & more.

Please  e-mail or call for additional details and pricing.

Joel's 953   (view)

Reynolds 953 stainless steel tubing throughout, with matching stainless lugs and braze ons. Hand brushed finish and just the right amount of paint to accentuate the material.

Fillet brazed steel (view)

Aaron's bike is another example where a custom bike can really make a difference.  Aaron is TALL and came to me because he had real trouble finding a bike that would fit him properly.  His custom Anderson's seat tube measures 63 cm, center to center. It features fillet brazed Columbus Spirit and Life tubes, polished stainless steel drop outs, S-Bend seat & chain stays, internal cable routing, Easton EC90 SL fork, and an Anderson custom gold pearl wet paint finish.
